What else is happening on Sunday morning?

We hope that you will do more than just worship with us. After our Sunday morning worship we have discussion groups that are open to everyone. During discussion groups we have the opportunity to get to know one another better and are given opportunity to discuss how the Scripture from the sermon can be lived out in our day to day lives. These groups are accessible to all people, even on their first visit, and we believe you will find them to be a “can’t miss” part of Sunday morning. During these discussion times we will also share a meal together, called Sunday Supper. We believe something special happens when people share a meal and discuss the Word together, called gospel community. We invite you to join us for Sunday Supper every time you visit. Additionally, we have a children’s Sunday school called LILO Kids so that children from K through 5th grade will receive an engaging and age appropriate Bible teaching. We use the Jesus Storybook Bible curriculum for our youngest learners and the Gospel Project Curriculum for our elementary aged students. Our teenagers will be able to discuss the sermon and how it relates to their situation in life with our youth discussion leader. This time will occur in the school gym so youth should come prepared to get active while they learn.

LILO Kids?

Our children’s ministry is called LILO kids (LILO stands for Live In Live Out). We want our children to both grow up in the worship of the church while also receiving instruction that is tailored to them. This means that we have all our children participate in the first half of our worship service, singing and praying with us. At the midpoint of the service we invite kids to participate in our Children’s Church where they will learn a gospel-centered biblical story from the Jesus Storybook Bible or The Biggest Story Storybook Bible.

After the service our kids will share a meal together, just as the adults do, and then they will have a Sunday School lesson. Renew is currently using the Gospel Project curriculum, which  takes kids through the main story of the Bible in three years.

Youth at Renew

We believe the youth are a vital part of the congregation and so we have the youth worship and receive the same sermon as the rest of the congregation. After the service the youth gather into their own small group. In this small group they share a meal, discuss how the sermon applies to their lives, and play a game or two.

Outside of Sunday mornings our youth are also invited to a monthly activity or service project. We have done things like go to Top Golf, visit an Ice Cream bar, and ice skate
